Sometimes for certain couples and cultures instead of buying a blender from their department store registry, you write them a sweet card and stick some cold hard cash in it.  You get to the wedding and search around for the gift table, which is usually near the guest book. Most likely there is a  box of some sort strictly for cards. Over the years I have seen all kinds, there is even a cinderella pumpkin horse thing out there! I myself ended up  making a box for mine, using some fabric that I bought for the runners I had made, so it was cohesive with the design. If you are brewing up a vintage themed event (which by the way is all the rage right now) here is an idea that might work for you. Why don’t you put the cards in a vintage suitcase or makeup carrier! You can find these puppies at the salvation army, value village or a local second hand store or even your grandma’s basement. They run any where from $25 to $125 depending on the year and condition (+brand name). Perfect for storage of art supplies or other goodies after the I do’s are over, I’d say it is a purchase you won’t regret.vintage suitcase www.bridescouts.com
